The
European Business History Association (EBHA) decided in 2008 that the
Association would launch a new prize to be awarded at EBHA annual meetings. The
prize is for the best paper on European business history presented at the
meeting and was awarded for the first time in Milan in 2009.
The prize consists of a certificate and a cash prize of €350.00. The winner
will be announced and the prize presented at the annual meeting’s conference
dinner.
Papers which comply with the following three criteria are eligible:
1) the paper is on European business history;
and
2) the paper is related to the conference theme;
and
3) the paper is delivered electronically to the prize committee on or before
the deadline specified by that committee.
The term “European business history” is defined broadly, but it is related to
the topic of the paper, NOT to the author’s nationality or place of residence.
Those who are interested in participating in the competition should send their
papers as a Word document or a PDF file by email to the prize committee before the 15th of July at the adress: ebha-bhsj.paris@ehess.fr
